A tragic bike accident near Alipore Zoo in Kolkata claimed the life of a 19-year-old youth named Ravi Saha late Monday night. The incident occurred while Ravi was traveling towards Dharmatala from Kothari Hospital with a companion riding pillion.
According to preliminary reports, Ravi lost control of his bike and fell on the road, sustaining fatal injuries. His companion, whose identity is yet to be disclosed, was also injured in the accident.
People rushed to the scene after hearing the commotion and immediately informed the police. Officers from Alipore Police Station arrived promptly and took charge of the situation. Ravi was declared dead upon arrival at the hospital, while his companion is currently undergoing treatment.
Eyewitness accounts suggest that overspeeding or a sudden obstacle may have caused the bike to skid, leading to the accident. However, the exact cause is yet to be determined, and police are investigating further.
